Winner of 3 of his last 4 completed starts over hurdles, again defying the handicapper when landing a decent handicap at Chepstow (23.6f) in December. Probably had a hard enough race and has been given time to get over that. Up another 4 lb but has to be respected on his current trajectory.

Useful handicap hurdler on his day but it's been a stop-start season. Had a pipe-opener on comeback in November before further 3-months off, finishing well-held in a handicap at Haydock having been easy to back. Shouldn't lack for fitness but no easy task up against some more progressive types.
|
Dual hurdles winner last season and ran a stormer back chasing when given a positive ride to finish second in the Southern National on return in November. However, that race may have left his mark, well-held on subsequent starts over hurdles/fences. Visored first-time and best to look elsewhere.

Ended time with Padraig Roche in Ireland out of sorts and has been pulled-up on all three starts for current connections. Has had wind surgery but difficult to be positive about his chances.
|
Once promising having been successful in a bumper and novice hurdle at this venue in 2023 but hasn't been anywhere near those heights this season, showing little in two chases or back over hurdles last time, when looking reluctant (pulled-up). First-time cheekpieces need to spark a return to form.

Forecasts
Woodie Flash (8/11), Sole Solution (7/4), My Bobby Dazzler (7/2), Kintail (5/1), Feivel (7/1), An Tailliur (12/1), Slip Of The Tongue (66/1)
Despite a small field, a few of these tend to go forward and that should ensure this is run at a reasonable tempo, which will suit the progressive SOLE SOLUTION. He showed a game attitude when winning at Sandown, shaping as though he'll be even better for this step up in trip. Woodie Flash is very likeable having won 3 of his last 4 completed starts over hurdles, and he is capable of running another big race following a short break, while An Tailliur offered some hope of a revival last time.
