From a decent French NH family and confirmed promise shown in bumper and opening hurdles starts when making it third-time lucky over the smaller obstacles at Exeter (16.7f) in December. Unseated rider early on at Newbury since and remains low mileage.
Posted creditable third on return at Aintree but isn't the most straightforward and hasn't been in same form since. Drops in grade/had wind operation but others are more convincing.
Made winning return over smaller obstacles at Fakenham (20f) in January. Wasn't in same form at Sandown last time, though, and others are more appealing. Cheekpieces back on.
Back to best form when second in Wincanton handicap hurdle (19.8f) in January. May have been undone by testing conditions at Wetherby latest and must enter calculations here.
Dual winner over timber who arrives on back of creditable third of 14 in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (20.7f, soft) 45 days ago. Ought to be thereabouts again.
Been in good heart in recent starts, latest when creditable fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle (9/1) at Chepstow (23.6f, heavy) 28 days ago. Others look better treated, though.
Improved for joining Dan Skelton, winning 2m handicaps at Stratford and Bangor on summer ground last year. Rather gone backwards since, however, and is still 12 lb above his last winning mark.
Fair bumper performer who made winning hurdles debut here in October. Not really built on that but may be seen in better light now sent handicapping.
Made a low-key start for current connections but back in a better heart equipped with a visor/tongue tie, building on his Exeter second when a facile winner of 15-runner handicap at Wincanton (19.8f, heavy) 38 days ago. Raised 11 lb since but looks a likely player nonetheless.
In top hands and stepped up on previous efforts over hurdles when second of 4 in novice at Sandown (16f, heavy) 36 days ago. Reverts to longer trip on handicap debut but opening mark could have been kinder.
Bumper winner in spring 2022 but seen only 5 times over hurdles since, posting solid third of 9 in handicap (11/1) at Wincanton (24.7f, soft) 22 days ago. Cheekpieces on first time. Each-way claims.
Had wind surgery prior to shedding maiden tag over hurdles in 11-runner novices' handicap at Southwell (20.4f) 20 days ago, keeping on well. 8 lb higher and in deeper company now but warrants respect.

GENTLEMAN JACQUES can defy a hike in the weights for a facile Wincanton success. Highlands Legacy and Almuhit are also respected.
