JCB Fastrac Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Made light of a 32-month absence on his yard debut when easily landing 5-runner handicap chase at Ludlow (20f, soft) in February. Didn't fire subsequently but returned with a respectable third at Newbury (22,4f) on reappearance in December and big player down in grade.

Made the most of a good opportunity when following up his Doncaster success in 4-runner affair at Southwell in January. Ran poorly back at aforementioned track last time, however.

Big improver when stepped up to 2½m+ last season, winning 5 on the spin and picked up where he left off when scoring with plenty in hand at Newton Abbot (17f) in October. Has gone off the boil since and needs to get back on track now switching to chasing.

Hurdles winner who improved for switch to chasing, staying on to lead close home when off the mark in 11-runner handicap chase at Ascot (21f) in March. Failed to fire first 2 starts this winter but rejuvenated by a first-time tongue strap when scoring at Huntingdon early last month. Has had wind op

Cost £290,000 after making a successful debut in the Irish pointing field and looked a useful prospect in winning his first 2 starts over hurdles. However, things haven't quite gone to plan since and he offered little sent chasing at Newbury on his reappearance in December.

Three-time winner over fences last season who returned from a break with a good third back at that venue in October and went well for a long way when fourth at Ascot (21f) next time. Departed before the race began to develop at Doncaster on most recent outing.

C&D winner who turned in his best effort of the season when fourth of 7 in handicap chase at Ludlow (20f, soft) 16 days ago. Needs considering.

Fair winning hurdler in France who offered plenty to work on when third of 8 in handicap chase at this C&D (good to soft) on UK debut 32 days ago. Should improve.
