Three-time winner over hurdles who made a sucessful start over fences in handicap at Chepstow (23.6f) in October. Ran at least as well when second at Newbury the following month and no surprise to see him bounce back from a below-par run at Cheltenham last time.

Grade 2 winner over hurdles and, after almost a year off, shaped well on chase debut when third at Haydock in November. Soon left behind a lesser effort when runner-up in handicap at Windsor (24.2f) last time, so he holds leading claims with cheekpieces applied.

Useful novice hurdler and, after over 2½ years off, was an encouraging fourth (Deafening Silence a place ahead) at Haydock (21.6f) on chase debut. However, has failed to complete both starts since, though was hampered last time. Needs to get back on track in cheekpieces.

Having made a promising chase debut, DEAFENING SILENCE quickly bounced back to that level when second to an improver at Windsor last month, so he looks ready to open his account over fences with cheekpieces added. The biggest threat could come from Destroytheevidence, who had taken well to chasing prior to a lesser run at Cheltenham last time.
