Off time: 14:30 | Winning time: 4m 58.80s

Dazzlelikethis^t⁵⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Henry Brooke| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| BFWS

10/1

Made a promising start when second in Carlisle maiden hurdle but tongue tied when only seventh of 11 in novice at Uttoxeter (22.2f, heavy) 58 days ago. Since had a wind op and he's worth another chance for good yard.

Form: F-27

Ghidora²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: B S Hughes| T: A Nicol

200/1

Fair form shown when third on his debut in a Perth bumper in August but he hasn't kicked on from it in a pair of novice hurdles this winter.

Form: 35P6

Hay Meadow^t1⁶⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

4/1

Point winner who also landed a Perth bumper in September. Made a promising start hurdling when a staying-on fourth of 6 at Hexham (2m) and has more to offer stepped up in trip with tongue tie added. Player.

Form: 51-104

Jasmine D'airy²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Ben Sutton⁽⁵⁾| T: Harry Derham

7/4

£120,000 purchase on the back of success in a Tipperary bumper last May. Has shown some promise in a pair of mares' novice hurdles, coming in fifth of 10 at Warwick (2m3f) last month. Holds solid form claims.

Form: 22-145

Lizzie Luna^h²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Craig Nichol| T: Ewan Whillans| OR: 99

9/1

Still a maiden but he comes here in good nick, fourth of 8 in novice hurdle at Ayr (16f, soft) 26 days ago. Goes up in trip now with hood back on and he must enter calculations.

Form: 577824

Vanilla Dancer²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Danny McMenamin| T: C Grant| OR: 105

10/3

Still to add to his bumper success but this reliable sort posted a very good clear second of 9 in novice hurdle at Sedgefield (19.8f, soft) 21 days ago. Can go well again.

Form: 344322

Irisante²⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: D J Jeffreys| OR: 114

6/1

Fairly useful form over hurdles for Hugo Merienne in France but she hasn't got near that level on these shores despite being placed at Doncaster and Leicester on her last two starts. More is required if she's to gain a breakthrough victory.

Form: 3-43723

Non-Runners

Generous Scorpion²¹

Weight: 11-5| Age: 7

T: D McCain Jnr J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Jasmine D'airy (7/4), Vanilla Dancer (10/3), Hay Meadow (4/1), Irisante (6/1), Lizzie Luna (9/1), Dazzlelikethis (10/1), Generous Scorpion (16/1), Ghidora (200/1)

This could go the way of Lucinda Russell's point winner HAY MEADOW who shaped well on her debut in this sphere when fourth at Hexham and could take a sizeable step forward now her stamina is unlocked. Vanilla Dancer is much more exposed but arrives at the top of her game and rates a big threat, while Jasmine d'Airy and Lizzie Luna also have the form to play a part.
