Successful twice last season, including off this mark upped to 25f at Cheltenham. Below par next 3 starts but back on track when second to a progressive type in a heavy-ground Wetherby handicap last time. Should be on the premises.

Fairly useful hurdler who made a winning return in that sphere at Ludlow last season. Given a fairly considerate introduction to chasing on reappearance this time round at Warwick and while he's entitled to come on for that, others boast more compelling claims.

Useful hurdler (2-3 in that sphere) and promising start over fences when third in an Exeter handicap on reappearance last season. Things haven't gone to plan since, though, failing to complete on 4 of his 5 subsequent chase starts (well held on the occasion that he did get round).

Fairly useful hurdler who doubled his tally in that sphere at Wincanton last spring. Good placed efforts on 2 of his 3 starts in staying handicaps so far this term and appeals as the type who could make his mark over the larger obstacles. Respected.

Useful chaser at his best for Noel Meade/Gordon Elliott in Ireland but has struggled for current yard this season and while he's slipped to a potentially very handy mark as a consequence, a leap of faith is nevertheless required in order to lend this 11-y-o support.

Dual winner at Chepstow last season but nowhere near his best in 3 appearances so far this term and there were no positives whatsoever to take from his latest effort at Exeter.

Progressive sort who made it 3-3 in this sphere and 2-2 over C&D when again coming from off the pace to land the spoils. Looks just the type who will go on improving and 5 lb rise by no means the end of the world. Very much the one to beat.

Dual hurdles winner who found some improvement when opening his account at the fourth attempt in this sphere over C&D recently. 4 lb rise fair enough and likely to give another good account with Harry Cobden again doing the steering.

Owing to his style of racing AWORKINPROGRESS wouldn't be the easiest for the handicapper to pin down (arrives late on the scene in his races and typically doesn't do much in front) and a 5 lb rise for his latest C&D success almost certainly underestimates him. The 6-y-o is taken to maintain his 100% record over fences (and over this C&D). If Madaket takes to fences at the first attempt he could emerge as the main danger ahead of Havaila and Are U Wise To That.
