Acquitted herself well in a couple of bumpers and improved on hurdling debut effort to justify support in 10-runner event at Warwick (19f) 19 days ago. More needed under a penalty but her attitude will stand her in good stead.

Fair handicapper on Flat (stays 1¾m), creditable fourth last time. Could have a future in this sphere.

From quite a good family and made a solid start when runner-up in a bumper at Newton Abbot (for Nicky Henderson) back in May 2023. However, that form didn't work out and she was always behind on recent Huntingdon hurdle debut.

Shaped with some encouragement when fourth of 10 in bumper at this C&D (heavy, 25/1) on debut 9 months ago. Could build on that now going hurdling.

Shaped well when runner-up both starts in bumpers but offered little on her completed outing over hurdles at Uttoxeter. Possibly more one for handicaps.

Fairly useful winner at 2m on Flat. Left Hughie Morrison's yard for 70,000 gns and has shown plenty of aptitude for hurdling in finishing runner-up both starts, latterly at Sedgefield (16.8f) 13 days ago. The one to beat.

Forecasts

Surrey Belle (2/5), I Am The Moon (4/1), Feet On The Ground (7/1), Paradise Park (12/1), D Day Arvalenreeva (22/1), Seas The Day (22/1), Manala (50/1), Dartmouth Rose (150/1), Voleur De Terres (300/1)

Verdict

SURREY BELLE has made an encouraging start to his hurdling career and is taken to make it third time lucky. I Am The Moon needs more under a penalty but has a likeable attitude and should at least keep the selection honest. Feet On The Ground can fill the places.
