Showed some ability in mares' maiden hurdles last season and, despite being easy to back following 8 months off, she displayed improved form to make a winning start in handicaps at Catterick (19.3f) 52 days ago. Respected nudged up 4 lb.

Handles testing ground well and improved on back of a breathing operation/addition of a tongue strap when making all in 9-runner handicap hurdle at Chepstow (19.5f, heavy) 10 days ago. Escapes a penalty for that success and she's one for the shortlist.

Fair bumper winner for Rod Millman who has made little impact in trio of maiden/novice hurdles for new yard this winter. Switch to handicaps in her favour here with cheekpieces refitted and the betting can prove a useful guide.

Left her maiden form in this sphere well behind when making a winning handicap debut at Leicester (20.5f, heavy) in December. However, failed by a long chalk to replicate that form in 2 starts since. Needs to bounce back.

Showed some promise over hurdles during early 2023 but missed whole of last year and her run at Warwick 18 days ago following 19 months on the sidelines offered little encouragement. Passed over returned to handicaps.

Found to be lame after finishing fourth of 6 in novice hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) back in July 2023. Easy to back and shaped as if needing the run after 18 months off when seventh of 11 in handicap hurdle at Hereford (16.2f) 23 days ago but this should reveal more.

Third on sole start in Irish points and showed some promise when runner-up on second start in maiden hurdles here (2m) in May. Weakened out of things on return/handicap debut at Ffos Las 4 weeks ago but that was her first start for 7 months and her yard have been amongst the winners.

Has looked limited in bumpers and over hurdles, including pulled up on handicap debut at Plumpton in December. A first-time tongue tie needs to spark improvement.

Made frame both starts in Irish points but little show over hurdles and fared no better in 2 tries chasing 12 months apart, tailed off when falling 5 out at Exeter (17.5f) 50 days ago. Hard to make a case for back over smaller obstacles. Cheekpieces on 1st time.

Placed in Irish points but pulled up on Newton Abbot hurdle debut in July 2023 and beaten a long way both starts this winter. Goes handicapping now from a low base but big leap forward required if she's to feature.

WALKINTHECOTSWOLDS showed the benefit of wind surgery/fitting of a tongue tie when opening her account in good style at Chepstow last week and, unpenalised for that, she makes a good deal of appeal again with underfoot conditions holding no fears. Fellow last-time-out winner Wrappedinrubies rates next best for Donald McCain. Handicap debutant Edmond and Auntie Maggie are others worth a look.
