€230,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Won sole outing in points and looked a bright prospect when following up in impression fashion on Limerick hurdling debut (21f) 35 days ago. That form is already working out and he's open to oodles of improvement.

Going the right way as a hurdler and the longer trip promises to suit but this does represent a big step up.

Smart bumper performer, winning the Champion Bumper in March. Excuses for Punchestown defeat and he overcame a couple of mistakes to land the odds in 25-runner maiden at Navan (2m, soft) on hurdle debut. Didn't get away with some sketchy jumping in Grade 1 at Naas since. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.

Bumper winner who got off the mark over hurdles at the second attempt in 21-runner maiden hurdle at Naas (16f, heavy) 27 days ago, making all. Significantly up in trip and open to further progress.

Has developed into a useful and likeable hurdler, making it 3 wins from his last 4 outings in 6-runner Gr 3 hurdle at Cork (24.4f, soft) 55 days ago. Lacks the potential of some but seems likely to give his running once again.

Bumper winner who confirmed promise of hurdling debut upped in trip when winning 14-runner maiden at Limerick (19f, soft) last month. This is a big step up but appeals as the sort to go on to better things.

Well above average in bumpers and showed aptitude for hurdling when runner-up at Punchestown in November. Went one better Fairyhouse (20f) on New Year's Day and, although this asks for plenty more, he's bred to be suited by the longer trip. Interesting.

Bumper winner who confirmed the promise of his hurdling debut (for P. A. Fahy) with his sights lowered markedly when landing a Galway maiden (16.4f) in October. Didn't quite last home after touching down in front at the last upped in trip at Thurles 13 weeks later and remains open to improvement.

Completed a simple task back down from Grade 1 company at Ballinrobe in May and ran well when 8 lengths second of 8 to The Yellow Clay in Lawlor's of Naas Novices' Hurdle at Naas (20f, heavy) 8 months on. Hood on for 1st time. Ought to go well again.

Smart bumper winner who got off to the perfect start over hurdles at Navan (20.2f) in November. Jumping still novicey when second in 4-runner affair at Cheltenham next time and progressed again in a higher grade when third in Lawlor's of Naas Novices' Hurdle latest. May do better still.

Dual bumper winner who made a successful debut over hurdles in a Galway maiden (2m) in October. Good third in Grade 2 at Navan 19 days later and seemed suited by the longer trip when second in a similar event at Limerick on Boxing Day. Type to improve further (jumping still requires refinement).

Looked good in winning first 3 starts over hurdles but was seemingly found out in better company when only fourth of 8 to July Flower in Grade 3 here in December. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.

Forecasts

Final Demand (11/8), Supersundae (4/1), Wingmen (8/1), Jasmin De Vaux (17/2), Mozzies Sister (12/1), I Am Lorenzo (16/1), Joystick (16/1), Sounds Victorius (18/1), World Of Fortunes (22/1), Sommesky (33/1), Pray Tell (33/1), Sporting Glory (33/1)

Verdict

A typically interesting renewal of this Grade 1. FINAL DEMAND made a smooth transition to hurdling when scoring in impressive fashion at Limerick in December and, with that form proving strong, he looks more than capable of making his mark up appreciably in grade. Supersundae was beaten only by a smart one in the Lawlor's of Naas and should be on the premises once again, with Sounds Victorious taken to make it a 1-2-3 for Willie Mullins with the longer trip sure to suit.
