Scored 3 times over hurdles in summer 2023 at up to 3m. However, disappointed in handful of runs since, including on chase bow/return at Newcastle last month. Back on winning mark now at least.
Multiple hurdles winner and opened chase account here in October. Last-fence mistake probably cost him when runner-up over C&D next time but then mis-fired tried in cheekpieces (retained here) next 2 starts.
From a good jumping family and left his uneventful hurdles exploits well behind in first-time headgear on chase/handicap bow when scoring at Leicester (22.7f, soft) in decisive fashion. Failed to build on that off revised mark at Catterick since but he remains unexposed.
Recorded back-to-back handicap chase wins for Gordon Elliott last season but form has gone the wrong way since and was probably flattered when third at Kelso latest.
Generally reliable and gained a deserved first win for over 2 years at Southwell last March. Hasn't done a great deal wrong since, again performing with credit when third back at the same course 25 days ago. Likely to be on the premises once more.
Won 3 times over fences at around 20f during 2022/23 campaign. Failed to kick on from a respectable run over hurdles last term, however, and showed nothing back from 11 months off at Ayr 24 days ago.
Well suited by the demands off this course and finally got off the mark over C&D in November. Backed that up with good second back here last month, beaten only by a lightly-raced improver, and he should go well again.
Finally off the mark when winning this last year in heavy ground off 2 lb lower. Below par next 3 starts, including on return, but may come on for that.
Runner-up 3 times on the bounce prior to belatedly shedding his maiden tag over C&D 11 months ago. Ran no sort of race at Hexham final start but decent return from out of the handicap when third at Wetherby in November. Entitled to build on that with headgear re-fitted.
Little form under Rules and 10 lb out of the handicap here.
Just the one win to his name from 27 starts over fences and he looks up against it from 10 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

CATCH CATCHFIRE has improved since switched to handicaps/chasing and is preferred to the in-form but much more exposed Old Page. Monaghan Boy is another to consider back off his proper mark.
