15/2

Defied huge odds on the back of another stable switch when making a winning return in 9-runner handicap chase at this course (21.5f, heavy, 100/1) 33 days ago and looks a player if he can build on it.

Form: P/473P-1

Hunter Legend²⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 118| C

11/10

Back to winning ways in emphatic fashion in 2m4f handicap chase here late in December. Reliable type who looks sure to go well again now despite a 7 lb hike.

Form: F11-721

Russian Ruler^h²⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 10-6| J: Harry Reed| T: L Morgan| OR: 108

22/1

Ended last term out of sorts for Nicky Henderson and no better when easy to back and well beaten in Southwell handicap for new yard. Unseated there next time and others are more appealing.

Form: P5P0-PU

Forecasts

Hunter Legend (11/10), Westerninthepark (6/5), Karuma Grey (15/2), Russian Ruler (22/1)

HUNTER LEGEND is a likeable type who put up an impressive display to score readily here last month and he seems to have found a good opportunity to follow up. The class-dropping Westerninthepark is a danger and Karuma Grey should be considered after his shock success on debut for his current stable.
