Useful handicap hurdler/chaser who has rediscovered his form, winning 4 of his last 5 starts over fences, including an impressive all-the-way win at Newcastle last time. 8 lb higher now but that may not be enough to stop him.

Dual winner at Uttoxeter and also fourth in Midlands Grand National there in March. Below par since but has at least dipped below his last winning mark.

Fairly useful hurdler but hasn't built on a respectable chase debut in 2 subsequent starts. Still early days, though, and step up in trip could suit (point winner).

Consistent over hurdles and got off the mark at the fourth time of asking in this sphere in 4-runner Catterick handicap almost a year ago. Solid effort on final start of last season but she now needs to bounce back following a heavy reappearance defeat at Carlisle.

Shirocco gelding who won his sole start in Irish points and then his first 2 over hurdles at Hexham and Kelso. Very good fifth in Haydock Grade 2 when last seen almost 2 years ago but still rates an interesting chasing prospect.

Forecasts

De Legislator (2/1), Undeniable Alibi (10/3), Autonomous Cloud (10/3), Ilikedwayurthinkin (4/1), Shighness (17/2)

Verdict

ILIKEDWAYURTHINKIN is absolutely thriving at present, producing a most impressive display to record his fourth win from 5 starts since sent back over fences at Newcastle in November, and this looks another good opportunity with his rivals arriving with something to prove. De Legislator has been absent for almost 2 years but is still a potentially interesting runner on his chasing debut so is feared most.
