Very lightly raced for his age and built on previous promise in no uncertain terms when comfortably taking 11-runner handicap at Exeter (21.6f, heavy) on New Year's Day. Assessor had his say ahead of this but respected nevertheless.

Won a 2m Wetherby novice last winter and similar form when placed in brace of Southwell handicaps at up to this trip with cheekpieces fitted this winter. Speed test back at 2m against him when seventh of 18 in handicap hurdle (14/1) at Ascot 26 days ago and this rates more suitable.

Struggled on first two starts of this season but returned to form when second of 10 in a handicap hurdle (12/1) at Doncaster (24.4f, good to soft) 33 days ago, travelled smoothly and only bettered by an unexposed horse. That was a big step in the right direction and should go well again.

Runner-up twice at Cheltenham in late 2022. Not disgraced in 2 runs back from 13 months off last winter but off a further year ahead of this reappearance. Mark has eased though, and the betting can guide.
