Very smart chaser at his best but made early mistakes when pulled up on his Chepstow reappearance in October and made little impression back in this sphere at Aintree the following month. Tried in cheekpieces now but is hard to fancy.

Won 2 of his 4 starts last term and ended campaign with good third in this contest (off 7 lb lower). Found further improvement when winning at Newbury (20.5f, good to soft) on return in November and looks a big player.

Bagged fifth success over hurdles when scoring over C&D 14 months ago and back to that sort of form when second of 8 in handicap at Doncaster (19.4f, good to soft, 18/1) 29 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Should give another good account.

C&D winner who resumed his progress when making a winning return at Aintree (20f) in October. Backed that up with creditable fourth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Haydock (18.9f, soft) since but others look better treated here.

Likeable type who resumed progress during second half of last term, winning over 2½m in the mud at Wetherby and Uttoxeter. Should strip fitter for last month's Doncaster reappearance but asked a bigger question now.

Posted personal best when scoring over shorter trip at Sandown 13 months ago. Not been successful since but took a step back in right direction when fourth of 11 to Jipcot in handicap hurdle at Newbury (20.5f, good to soft, 8/1) 14 days ago. Claims if building on that.

Had been shaping up well in 2023/24, finishing a good fourth in Betfair Hurdle at Newbury, but held back by inexperience on chasing debut at this course on return. Hampered at the start back hurdling here 16 days and merits consideration off an appealing mark.

Promising comeback this term before below-par run at Haydock in November. Much better when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (23.6f, good to soft) 15 days ago but faces a stiffer task here and drop back in trip may not be ideal.

Bumper winner who also landed her first 2 starts over hurdles last winter. Resumed her progress sent handicapping when runner-up at Bangor (19.6f) on return and, whilst she failed to back it up at Newbury since, the step back up in trip is in her favour.

Ended last campaign on a high, scoring at Chepstow (19.5f) and Uttoxeter (20f) in spring and returned with creditable fifth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (21f, good to soft) 57 days ago. Looks a likely player and the booking of Harry Cobden catches the eye.
