Saturday Meeting 18th January Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Fair maiden hurdler at best for Henry de Bromhead in Ireland. Makes handicap debut for new stable after 5 months off. Probably best watched.

Fair Flat maiden who has shown an aptitude for hurdling since joining Daisy Hitchens, including fifth of 13 on C&D handicap debut four weeks ago. Hood back on. Probably capable of making more of an impact from her mark.

Justified support in 2m Stratford handicap hurdle in June and creditable efforts on all 3 completed starts since, finishing second of 13 over C&D on latest.

Back-to-form second at Fontwell and Hereford (both good to soft) in recent months and no reason why she won't give another good account.

Improved when narrowly denied on her 2m Fakenham handicap debut just before Christmas, the line coming a couple of strides too soon for her strong finish. An unexposed profile suggests she may do better again.

Seeking a hat-trick of wins in this race. Creditable third of 6 at Lingfield (2m, good) when last seen 8 weeks ago. 1 lb lower than 12 months ago and looks set for another big run in this race.

Fair performer on level who made a winning yard/hurdle debut in 6-runner juvenile at Warwick (2m, good) in November. Pulled up in Newbury listed race next time but fared better back in calmer waters at Catterick since. Her opening handicap mark looks manageable.

Long-standing maiden on level and over hurdles. Always behind in a course chase on her recent return from a long absence. Can only watch.

Fair handicapper on Flat. Barely modest form in 3 juvenile hurdles but handicaps provide her with a more realistic chance to make an impact. Cheekpieces go on for the first time over hurdles.

No form but from a good stable and it's possible handicaps will see her in a better light. Check the betting in first-time blinkers.
