C&D winner. Hampered over 1f out when tenth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (50/1) in November, shaped better than bare result but did not back that up on latest run, only beating one home. Blinkers tried today.

Unreliable type. C&D winner, last of 10 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f) 28 days ago, slowly away. Down in trip and easy to look elsewhere.

Lightly-raced winner. Latest effort after 6 months off, ran respectably meeting a synthetic surface for the first time since shedding her maiden tag and may well step forward for the run. Player.

Won four times in 2024, twice here. Still in good heart when third of 6 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f) 10 days ago. Down in trip but has won over C&D previously. Should go well again.

Offered little on first outing since leaving Jedd O'Keeffe after 16 months off (sold for £1,200), folded tamely 2f out, finished last. Others preferred.

Below form latest (third of 6 in 8f handicap at Newcastle) and yard not been among the winners of late. Visored for first time and is still lightly-raced. Not discounted.

Forecasts

Caramay (7/4), Kingmont (11/4), Ellexis (7/2), Disclosure (13/2), Sid's Annie (8/1), Equuleus Star (33/1), Silk Bird (200/1)

Verdict

CARAMAY scored twice here last year and can make her first visit of 2025 a winning one. Kingmont stands out as a danger and should be better for her comeback run. New headgear could see Ellexis and Disclosure in a better light.
