Useful hurdler who was a creditable third of 13 over 2½m at Cheltenham on his reappearance but has been below par at Newbury and back there since. More is needed.

A fair winner on the Flat who has improved for his current yard, hooded when an excellent second in 2m handicaps at Wetherby and Ascot in November. Since had a wind op. Considered.

Resumed winning ways at Huntingdon in November and backed it up with a good third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Doncaster (16.6f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Ought to be in the shake-up.

Landed a Musselburgh handicap last February but yet to hit top form this term, fifth of 9 in 2m Ascot handicap last time. Needs to take a big step forward.

Scored at Cartmel in July 2023. Some good efforts in defeat since but he has failed to beat a rival on his last two outings, off 5 months before last of 8 at Kempton 37 days ago. Not easy to make a case for.

Fairly useful on the Flat for Michael Bell and much improved over hurdles since handicapping, winning at Ludlow and Bangor in April. Posted a very good third of 15 in 2m handicap hurdle at Cheltenham 47 days ago (form franked) so he's a player.

Took a step back in the right direction after 8 months off when third of 6 in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (15.8f, heavy) 24 days ago. Very much one to consider off the same mark.

Resumed with a 2m4f win at Uttoxeter and not disgraced when eighth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Cheltenham (20.2f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Down in trip and one for the shortlist.

A few with chances but Harry Derham's BALHAMBAR is enjoying a good time of it in this sphere and looks the way to go on the back of his very good Cheltenham third (form working out well). Rock House is weighted to have a say and next on the list with Norman Fletcher and Alnilam both well in the mix too.
