Not the force of old but has paid his way in hunters in recent seasons and was second in the Foxhunters' at Aintree in April. Has failed to complete in his last 7 handicaps, the last time he did manage to get around in such company 4 years ago, but his mark has fallen accordingly.

Looked about as good as ever on his third start for the stable when taking 2m Doncaster handicap chase 3 weeks ago. No banker to back that up, while he's unproven over this far also.

Very much going the right way over fences now, following up his victory here (3m) in Musselburgh novice handicap over this trip with a good bit to spare. Strong claims in hat-trick bid up 6 lb.

Ended last term out of sorts for Nicky Henderson and no better when easy to back and well beaten in C&D handicap for new yard 4 weeks ago. Still lightly raced over fences but has stamina to prove among other things. Headgear back on.
