Racing Again 9th January Handicap Hurdle

Fairly useful Flat winner for Charle Hills, including a Class 2 Goodwood handicap in May. Promise in second hurdles start for this yard and progressed to score impressively at Wetherby (16f, soft) 5 days ago, showing all his speed from the Flat. Looks to have an outstanding chance under a penalty.

Won 5-runner handicap chase at Cartmel (17f, soft) in August but couldn't cash in on lower hurdles mark when third of 10 at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) last month. That was his best effort over hurdles for a while and could be dangerous from the front at a course he's run well at before.

Not disgraced both starts in points in spring 2023 and showed a bit more in third start over hurdles (made brief headway after 3 out but never landed a blow) when fifth of 9 at Sedgefield 26 days ago. Makes handicap debut today.

Fair handicapper on Flat (stays 2m), won once in 2023. Sold from William Knight's yard for 13,000 gns in October. Best run in novice event latest (fifth of 8, Cartmel, soft, 17.2f) and can do better now handicapping.

Successful at Newcastle last December and followed up here over C&D (heavy) the following month, beating Restandbethankful. Inconsistent since and failed to come on for comeback run when well-beaten here (19.3f, good) 15 days ago. Best to look elsewhere on recent evidence.
