Horse A-Z
Fairly useful hurdler. Won novice handicap here in April and can be excused his latest start at Punchestown (almost brought down first). Makes chasing debut after 7 months off.

Useful sort in this sphere at his best but losing run stretches back to 2020. 12/1, pulled up in handicap chase at Gowran (16f, heavy) when last seen in March but not discounted at this level on return.

11/10
Fairly useful hurdler. Reportedly suffering from heat stress when eleventh of 19 in handicap hurdle (9/2) at Leopardstown (18f, soft). Off 10 months. Makes chase debut. Stable having good spell. Still relatively unexposed and could make a chaser.

Point winner showed fair form over hurdles. Always behind on his returning from an 18-month absence in novice chase at Galway (22.5f, soft) on debut over fences 60 days ago. Others preferred.

Fairly useful winner at 2m over hurdles. 50/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, showed plenty when third of 12 in novice chase at Punchestown (18.9f, soft) on debut over fences 33 days ago. Sets the standard.

Forecasts

Foxy Girl (11/10), Release The Beast (7/4), Enjoy The Dream (8/1), Cayd Boy (14/1), Ballycallan King (22/1), Can't Stop Smiling (28/1), Ik's Man (28/1)

Verdict

RELEASE THE BEAST was placed behind Ballyburn on his chase debut and Paul Nolan's gelding sets a good standard on that effort, even without the promise of potential improvement. Cayd Boy is a long-standing maiden over fences but the pick of his form would see him in the mix here, whilst Foxy Girl rates as an interesting newcomer to this discipline for Henry de Bromhead.
