Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: R Patrick| T: Kerry Lee| OR: 104

13/2

Dual winner over fences at Hereford during 2022/23 and placed twice last season. Might have needed his return at Huntingdon last month although his tame finish wasn't anything new.

Koenigsstern³⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: James Davies| T: N J Gifford| OR: 104| BF

11/4

Dual winning pointer (also successful 3 times on the Flat) and has shown plenty for all that he's yet to strike over hurdles/fences. Runner-up both starts switched to this sphere since returning to action in October and he has to enter calculations.

Form: 4336-22

Chosen Hero^p¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Benjamin Poste| T: A Watson| OR: 103

14/1

Winning hurdler who ran well on her return at Sedgefield but shaped as if amiss making chasing debut after 9 weeks off at Hexham. Bit to prove.

Form: 91P3-3P

Coup De Gold²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-6| J: Conor Ring| T: Evan Williams| OR: 83

11/1

Dual winner over hurdles and offered something to work on before departing late making a belated chase debut at Hereford 4 weeks ago. Wouldn't rule out.

Form: 39423F

Age: 7| Weight: 10-5| J: Ned Fox⁽³⁾| T: H Brown| OR: 82| BF| C

3/1

Second to Gorcombe Moonshine in this 12 months ago and struck back here in February, going on from faltering leader. Poor here a fortnight ago after a promising return, though.

Form: 4323-36

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Harry Kimber| T: R Walford| OR: 77| BF| CD

5/2

Fair runs over hurdles in the summer and won this last year on first go over fences. No surprise to see him go well back chasing after 6 months off.

Forecasts

Gorcombe Moonshine (5/2), Koenigsstern (11/4), Valirann Gold (3/1), Jolyjump (4/1), Greenrock Abbey (13/2), Coup De Gold (11/1), Chosen Hero (14/1)

GORCOMBE MOONSHINE won this on his return last year and could repeat the feat. Koenigsstern has made a good start over fences and is a big player. Coup de Gold might go well if none the worse after his Hereford spill.
