Alioski^t³⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-13| J: Isabelle Ryder⁽¹⁰⁾| T: G Brown| OR: 95

28/1

Sole hurdles success came in 2m Worcester maiden in 2022 but largely acquitted himself well after and notched third win on the Flat at Ffos Las in August. In rear when unseating fifth at Leicester back over hurdles last month. Wouldn't rule out.

Form: 3/200-2U

Runaway Train³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-10| J: Tom Buckley| T: James Owen| OR: 92

13/2

Has run much better the last twice, second on handicap debut at Southwell (2m) 4 weeks ago, faring best of the trio who ensured a brisk early gallop. Got to be respected up in trip.

Form: 765F62

Getoverthathill³⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Bradley Harris| T: C Gordon| OR: 88| C

6/4

Proved a different proposition sent handicapping after 7 weeks off when landing 22f novice contest here 6 weeks ago, travelling well and drawing clear. More to come up 9 lb.

Form: 071/761

Motazzen^p¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Philip Armson| T: Miss H C Knight| OR: 87| C

4/1

Became his trainer's first jumps winner since renewing her licence here a fortnight ago. Did it decisively, suggesting this longer trip should suit, and he could follow up after a 7 lb rise.

Form: 256041

Karakoy^t¹⁸⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: Charlie Price| T: R L Llewellyn| OR: 78

18/1

Fair winner on the Flat who showed plenty more over hurdles last 2 starts in June. Might find this a bit tougher back up in trip after 6 months off.

Form: 786-943

Forecasts

Getoverthathill (6/4), Kalif D'airy (5/2), Motazzen (4/1), Tara Iti (5/1), Runaway Train (13/2), Coco Brave (10/1), Karakoy (18/1), Alioski (28/1)

Quite a competitive opener, with MOTAZZEN taken to follow up his recent course success. He proved really strong at the finish then and his revised mark should be within reach. The lightly-raced Getoverthathill also won well here last time and is an obvious danger. Coco Brave is another to note.
