Irish point winner who was placed in the first of 2 bumpers last season and made a successful start to his hurdle career in a 2m Chepstow novice in October. However, he failed to fire upped to 2½m at Aintree since and looks vulnerable under a penalty here.

Irish point winner who made the perfect start when landing a Worcester bumper in the summer. Proved a disappointment at Chepstow 4 months later but back to winning ways on hurdling bow at Southwell (24.3f, good) just over 8 weeks ago, pouncing on the favourite late. Cheekpieces applied.

Bought for £70,000 after easily winning an Irish point in December. Landed the odds without impressing visually on debut at this course (21.9f, soft) in October. Penalised but can progress given soft underfoot conditions (displayed a most ungainly action on Rules bow).

Has an ordinary pedigree but finished runner-up sole start in Irish points in February and made an encouraging enough start over hurdles when fourth of 13 in a Wetherby novice (19.7f, good to soft) in October. Tiring when carried out at Leicester subsequently and others look stronger.

Maiden Irish pointer who went with little encouragement on hurdles debut in June 2023 and showed nothing in a first-time tongue strap after 18 months off at this course (15.8f, heavy) recently. Very hard to see him involved.

Winner of a maiden point in February (sole start in that sphere) and, having subsequently fetched £175,000 and joined top jumps yard, shaped with some encouragement before tying up when runner-up in 12-runner novice hurdle at Leicester (20.5f, good to soft) last month. Can build on that.

Runner-up sole outing in Irish points and shaped well when occupying same spot in a bumper at this course (15.8f, heavy) in March. More will be needed if he's to go one better now switched to hurdles but he's interesting nonetheless.

Fairly useful form on Flat at 2 yrs, though failed to beat a rival on both starts in 2023. Sold from Aidan O'Brien 16,000 gns/gelded and best watched after 19 months off now hurdling.

Progressed into a smart chaser during 2021/22 season, winning 4 of his 5 starts. However, proved bitterly disappointing returned to hurdling at Bangor in November 2022 and let down by his jumping in graded company next 2 starts. This far more suitable but has been off 21 months.

An intriguing novice with the suggestion being SAINT PALAIS, who was let down by his jumping in a couple of graded events when last seen early last year, but this rates as good opportunity for Richard Bandey's 7-y-o to open his account in this sphere provided he's ready to roll. Rosscahill landed the odds without impressing visually on debut here in October, so he heads up the dangers, with Jakar du Moulin and Holokea taken to fight out third.
