Found improvement dropped in trip fitted with first-time cheekpieces when second of 11 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (19.4f, soft) in April. However, he has offered little in 2 subsequent starts, including on return/chase debut at Bangor.

Found his feet over fences during the spring and has kicked on again this season, building on his solid reappearance second at Stratford when going one better here (23.8f, heavy) last month, travelling more fluently through the race than usual. 5 lb rise tolerable and should make his presence felt.

Went the right way over hurdles last term, gaining a second victory at Fontwell in March. Started off well in this sphere when second of 9 here last month, prior to finishing fourth at Lingfield where he again shaped as though 2m was too sharp. Improvement likely back up to a more suitable trip.

A dual 3m chase scorer in 2022/23 and was entitled to need the run at Chepstow where he was returning from an extra-long absence. Down 3 lb and this run should be more revealing with regard to how much ability remains.

Dual chase winner in France and opened account on these shores when scoring over 3m here on his reappearance last season. Also made a very positive start to present campaign when going close at Lingfield (23.5f, soft) 10 days ago and he's a huge player off the same mark back here.

Last season's campaign was a productive one, bagging handicap chases at Doncaster and here (both at around 19f) and placed on several occasions, too. However, he now needs to get back on track having been pulled up on his last 3 starts. Blinkers refitted having sported a visor on his latest start.

On a good mark judged on form from a few seasons back but his wellbeing needs taking on trust following an absence of over 2 years. Sports a first-time visor.

Sent chasing last season, off the mark on final start of the campaign as she landed mares' handicap at Wincanton (20.2f, heavy) in April. No show in a handful of runs so far this term, though, and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.

Little impact over hurdles for this yard and hasn't fared any better over fences on his last 3 starts, well-beaten fifth of 10 in handicap at this course (19.4f, heavy) last time. Best watched back up in trip.

Off the mark in 3m handicap chase here on final start of last season and probably needed the run when sixth of 13 behind The Scorpion King back at this course on his reappearance. Still, his temperament isn't all it could be and some of these look more solid.

HAUT FOLIN went down narrowly on his recent reappearance at Lingfield and is likely to prove hard to beat off the same mark (due to go up 2 lb) back at the course where he opened his account for present connections last November. Following a couple of spins over 2m this season, Mumbles could be about to take a step forward now faced with a more suitable test and he rates the main danger ahead of The Scorpion King, who was a winner here last month.
