Fitzdares Royal Windsor Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Useful bumper winner who won twice over hurdles last season, including on handicap bow at Sandown final start, and produced a highly promising first effort in this sphere after 7 months off when second at Warwick, looking the likely winner until the lack of a recent run told. Sure to improve.

Different proposition since switched to chasing, winning his first 2 starts at Uttoxeter and Wetherby. Runner-up twice since, including when good second at Newbury latest. In the mix.

Placed in some good maiden/novice events and made most of good opportunity at Exeter (16.7f) in April. Returned with a good third in Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow but disappointed at Sandown since. Goes chasing now (has scope).

Fairly useful Flat winner in France who was going the right way over hurdles when last seen, readily landing handicaps at Leicester in January and Bangor in March. Caught the eye after 8 months off at Newton Abbot 2 weeks ago and interesting recruit to chasing.

Impressive winner on sole start in points and successful start to hurdle career at Huntingdon (19.5f) on return in October. Struggled under a penalty next 2 starts, however, and opening mark looks a stiff one on chase bow.
