Won a claiming hurdle in Ireland in the spring but pulled up at Punchestown in June. Made little impression on first start for new yard last month. Tongue tie back on but hard to fancy.

Scored at Newton Abbot in June when with Ben Pauling yard. Underperformed on the Flat on debut for new connections but ran with promise 18 days ago when stretched by longer trip. Should benefit from the drop back in distance and is entitled to be involved in the shake up with yard going well.

Won pair of 4-y-o hurdles in France but has been well below that level for current connections. Latest run (fifth of 10 at Carlisle 32 days ago) was off the back of a 9-month break. He's entitled to come on for that effort, but he'll need to if he's going to be competitive here.

Not won since hurdles debut. Mark has fallen significantly but more like it when second to a well-backed rival at Hereford last month (hung left), Cheekpieces will help his cause and looks to have a big chance here off a 1 lb higher mark.

Remains a maiden but ran career best when second at Ffos Las 23 days ago (soft) travelling like the winner in the home straight before being worn down close home. Should relish similar ground conditions here and rates a major player.

Won a maiden hurdle at Exeter in April. Found it tougher in a stronger race at Worcester 6 months later but that race has worked out well. Steps back up in trip for handicap debut following short break and one to consider given he's unexposed.

Fetched £50,000 after winning his sole start in points. Disappointing in novice hurdles and well beaten on handicap debut/reappearance. Hopes rest on application of blinkers.

Bettered previous hurdles efforts when fourth of 8 in maiden at Uttoxeter in January but reportedly suffered with a breathing problem on his handicap bow the following month. Returning from 296 day break and one to monitor in the betting with trainer that does well with similar types.

ATREIDES caught the eye in a stronger event at Ffos Las last time and he’s taken to go one better here. New Found Fame is respected as the main danger having posted his best effort for a while at Hereford. Greatness Awaits shaped with promise at Ludlow and will benefit from the drop in distance, while Streamsforth Lad is one to note in the betting for a yard that does well with new recruits.
