Looked very promising when landing novice and handicap hurdles around 2½m last winter. His poor run in a Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival in March came at a time when his stable was under a cloud and this former Irish point winner remains a smart prospect now chasing.

Useful, dual-winning hurdler who bettered that form in defeat over fences last term, notably second to Ginny's Destiny at Cheltenham in January. Faded into a remote fourth on his 3m Cheltenham reappearance and quickly drops back in trip. The cheekpieces he wore on that occasion are also discarded.

Developed into a useful hurdler last season, winning 3 times at around this trip, and has quickly translated all that ability to fences, going close over 2m here before landing the odds in a 2½m Warwick maiden. More to come.

Good-looking sort who has taken really well to fences in recent months, winning handicaps at Wetherby and Bangor. The form of his Bangor win has worked out well and a 9 lb rise doesn't look enough to stop him with further progress likely.

Fairly useful winning hurdler who struck at the first time of asking over fences in 21f Sedgefield handicap at the beginning of October. More to come from her but she is up against some potentially smart opposition here.

Forecasts

Jagwar (11/8), Jingko Blue (11/4), Rambo T (7/2), Theatre Man (13/2), Hashtag Boum (20/1)

Verdict

A very interesting novice handicap. JAGWAR won a competitive race with something to spare at Bangor last month and can defy the handicapper again and stretch his unbeaten chase record to 3. Rambo T is another who has taken well to the larger obstacles and is feared most ahead of Jingko Blue, who had an excuse when pulled up in a Grade 1 novice hurdle in the spring but remains a good prospect for chasing.
