McCartneys Ltd Novices' Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Progressed from encouraging chase debut when winning 4-runner handicap at Southwell (15.8f, good) 19 days ago, plenty in hand. 9 lb higher now but likely has more to give yet.

Quite a costly buy out of points and made a winning handicap bow over hurdles at this course (15.8f) in March. Showed aptitude for chasing when second in Bangor handicap (17.4f, heavy) on return 36 days ago and is entitled to build on that.

Showed ability over hurdles last term and may have needed outing when seventh of 8 in handicap chase at Chepstow (16f, good, 28/1) on debut over fences 12 days ago. Should have more to offer in this sphere.

Fair maiden hurdler/chaser in France who showed her best form for Venetia Williams when second of 8 in handicap chase (10/1) at Warwick (16.2f, soft) on debut over fences 14 days ago. That form has been franked since and she looks a big player here.

Yet to score for current yard but was making an encouraging chase debut when sprawling badly on landing 2 out at Uttoxeter (16f, good to soft, 16/1) 18 days ago. May well do better.

Maiden who didn't shape with any immediate promise for the Dan Skelton yard when down the field over hurdles at Chepstow last month. Back over the larger obstacles here but others are more convincing.
