Fairly useful on Flat, good second in pursuit of hat-trick at Pontefract (10f, heavy) just under 6 weeks ago. Has since left Harry Eustace and interesting to see what the market makes of him on hurdling debut.

Lavender Hill Mob¹⁶⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: N de Boinville| T: James Owen

2/7

Useful on Flat, mid-field in Group 2 Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot (14.2f, good to firm) last time. Has since left Michael Bell and appeals as a very interesting hurdling debutant (stable has an outstanding recent record with juveniles).

Form:

Spartan Warrior²

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Menzies

10/1

Fair handicapper on Flat, won twice in 2024 for Ollie Sangster. Showed aptitude when third of 8 in juvenile at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) on hurdling debut on Thursday. Others more appealing given the quick turnaround.

Form: 3

Global Hideaway¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-7| J: C J Todd| T: D Skelton

18/1

Masterstroke filly who was given a considerate introduction having been easy to back when fourth of 7 in juvenile hurdle at Bangor (16.7f, soft) on debut earlier this month. Should progress with that initial effort under her belt and gets 7 lb from her male rivals.

Form: 4

Viyanni¹⁴⁹

Weight: 11-0| Age: 3

T: Harry Derham J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Lavender Hill Mob (2/7), Inappropriate (11/2), Spartan Warrior (10/1), Viyanni (10/1), Global Hideaway (18/1)

James Owen has an outstanding recent record with his juveniles and LAVENDER HILL MOB can be the latest cab off the rank to make the successful switch to hurdling. He can get the better of sole filly Global Hideaway, who was given a considerate introduction at Bangor recently.
