Made it third time lucky over hurdles when making all at Uttoxeter last month. Found out under a penalty but still emerged with credit when third of 14 in novice at Stratford (16.3f, good to soft) just under 4 weeks ago and fancied to be bang there once again.

Bought out of Tjade Collier's yard for just £3,000 and made a winning start in a Ludlow bumper (15.8f, soft) in October 2023. Safely held on hurdles debut at Kempton the following month, though, and it's easy enough to look elsewhere having not been seen since.

Fairly useful bumper winner who arrives fit from a good fourth at Cheltenham (16.4f, good) last month, ridden too far back to make much impact. One to consider on hurdle debut.

£38,000 3-y-o, Linda's Lad gelding. Dam (h112), bumper/2¾m hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (winner around 2¼m in France) Dourakine. Certainly worth a second look on debut.

Forecasts

Nowmelad (2/9), Mossy Fen Road (2/1), Not So Sobers (7/2), Bobby's Fortune (22/1), Wild Nephin (28/1), On The Go (28/1), Indian Easter (150/1)

Verdict

Harry Derham continues to impress in the training ranks and his winning Irish pointer MOSSY FEN ROAD is selected to make the perfect start under Rules at the chief expense of Nowmelad, who made it third time lucky in this sphere at Uttoxeter last month and has since performed with credit under a penalty. Not So Sobers and Wild Nephin can fight out minor honours.
