Veteran who scored twice over hurdles Dan Skelton in 2022. Won 5 times in points between April and June this year but limited impact back under Rules in recent months and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
Good record at Ffos Las and bounced back to form when runner-up there at the end of May. However, his recent reappearance spin at Exeter wasn't underwhelming, even allowing for the fact that it was his first outing for 5 months.
Resumed winning ways when landing an 8-runner Hereford handicap (21.7f, good) last month. Remains feasibly treated following a 6 lb rise and he has to enter calculations.
Bagged a small-field Stratford handicap (26.4f, good) last season but hasn't fired since, including when down the field on return following another round of wind surgery at Wincanton 19 days ago.
Surprise winner of a 7-runner handicap hurdle at Worcester (2½m, good) on second start for this yard in August. Not in the samer form since, though, and he's likely to find a few too good once more.
Came good at the fifth attempt for this yard under Gearoid Harney at Wincanton (15.2f, good) recently. Escapes a penalty for that and, with this step back up in trip unlikely to pose any problems, he's a must for the shortlist.
Looked good when winning a bumper here on debut in February 2023 and placed both completed starts since switched to hurdles. Absent for 10 months ahead of this handicap debut but she's in good hands and unexposed, so there is cause for optimism.
Much-improved when opening his account in first-time cheekpieces at Huntingdon in April. Backed it up with a good third at Perth later that month and while he failed to beat a rival home on last month's return at Exeter, he went without cheekpieces there (now refitted) and probably needed the run.
Unplaced in sole point but displayed some ability in 2 bumpers for Tom Weston before Christmas and likewise when reaching the frame in a pair of 2m novice hurdles for Rosemary Gasson. However, he took backward steps switched to handicaps during the spring.

Forecasts
Getalead (2/1), Gris Majeur (10/3), Baby Sage (4/1), Gustoso (5/1), Shantou Express (17/2), Kepagge (20/1), Minella Double (28/1), Illico De Montave (33/1), Dorrells Pierji (80/1)
Last-time-out winners GETALEAD and Gris Majeur could be the pair to concentrate on, with ready preference for the former who escapes a penalty for this recent Wincanton success under Gearoid Harney and moving back up in trip here will, if anything, probably be a good thing. The unexposed Baby Sage and Gustoso can do battle for minor honours.
