Successful at Worcester in summer 2023 and runner-up on 3 occasions after. Decent comeback third at Newton Abbot in August but went backwards from that at Worcester (23f, good) since. Cheekpieces replace the usual blinkers but he's very much an all-or-nothing performer nowadays.
Dual hurdles winner at Hereford in 2022/23 and successful start switched to fences at same course (25.2f) last October. However, he's been pulled up on both subsequent starts (latest at Newton Abbot after 10 months off) so has a bit to prove.
Runner-up completed outing in points and, with tongue strap added, off the mark over hurdles in handicap at Huntingdon (20.7f, soft) in April. Had a wind op and shaped encouragingly sent chasing after 5 months off when third at Uttoxeter (24f, good to soft) 11 days ago and he should improve.
Back from 4 months off (had breathing operation) when creditable second of 7 in at Fontwell (26f, good) and filled that same position at Huntingdon (23.6f, good) a fortnight later. Remains low mileage in this sphere and is one for shortlist.
Continues to fall in the weights without showing any sign of taking advantage, latest at Warwick (20f, good) just over 3 weeks ago. First-time blinkers are added to his usual tongue tie.
No great shakes as a hurdler but he has shown an aptitude for this game in the summer, placed in handicaps at Stratford and Newton Abbot. Not so good at latter venue when last seen in June (jumping generally lacked fluency) so will need to take a step forward on return.
Unreliable individual who returned to form from out of the blue after 4 months off when second of 10 at Market Rasen (23.9f, good to firm) just under 3 weeks ago. Needs to prove that wasn't a false dawn.
Attracted support returning from a year off but never looked likely to justify it when well held in handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (26.5f, good) 8 weeks ago. Reverts to the larger obstacles for just a second time and others more appealing.
Had been easing in the weights and ran better than for a while when narrowly denied at Warwick (20f, good) just over 3 weeks ago. Not the most reliable (sulks if unable to dominate), but he's capable of getting involved if on a going day for all he's yet to prove he stays this far.

Forecasts
Getupearly (9/4), Jony Max (7/2), Ballynaheer (9/2), School For Scandal (13/2), Toad Of Toad Hall (8/1), Robinsville (9/1), Dindin (16/1), Saxon Queen (25/1), Braganza Bay (50/1)
Having had a wind op, BALLYNAHEER shaped encouragingly sent chasing after 5 months off when third at Uttoxeter recently and, with improvement on the cards, he's fancied to go a couple of places better at the expense of Getupearly, who has finished runner-up on his last 2 starts and remains low mileage in this sphere. School For Scandal and the returning Robinsville can fight out third.
