Fair maiden on the Fla for Ollie Sangster who made a winning start over hurdles for new connections in 6-runner juvenile at Stratford (2m, good, 15/2) in July. Matched that form when second under a penalty at Uttoxeter and cheekpieces (worn once on the Flat) are back on.
Related to a couple of hurdle winners and overcame inexperience to do likewise himself on debut at Market Rasen in June, well on top by the line with Opec out of the race. Crashed out at the first at Uttoxeter a month later but given time to get over that and he remains capable of better.
Fairly useful form over hurdles in France, head second to Enjoy in juvenile at Dieppe prior to winning 10-runner event at same course by 1¾ lengths from Maguelon. Left D. Sourdeau de Beauregard €130,000 in July and he sets the standard on UK debut.
Modest form at up to 1m on the Flat for Sir Michael Stoute. New connections acquired him for 11,000 gns in July and with the hood kept on, he made fair fist of his debut in this sphere when second at Sedgefield a fortnight ago. Form is only ordinary, though.
Fairly useful form on Flat, should stay at least 1¼m, well beaten in handicap last time. Sold from James Ferguson 20,000 gns in July but joined another good yard ahead of hurdles bow.
Modest maiden on the Flat and heavily backed, she was a long way clear when falling 2 out on hurdles debut at Market Rasen a fortnight ago. Went with plenty of zest and she's taken to make amends here.

Forecasts
Opec (4/6), Quantock Hills (9/4), Battle Of Omdurman (12/1), Play Pretend (14/1), Maple (33/1), Normandy Legend (66/1)
OPEC was still travelling powerfully in a clear lead when falling 2 out at Market Rasen a fortnight ago and in receipt of weight all round, compensation may well await. Quantock Hills brings solid French form to the table so is feared most.
