Welcome To Family Day Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:30 | Winning time: 5m 20.13s

Kilmore Rock¹⁰⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: S Corbett

12/1

First foal, dam unraced. Placed on 2 of 4 starts in points and backed at prices, he made a winning hurdles debut at Hexham in June, holding on gamely. Bare form is ordinary so he looks vulnerable here.

Form: 9P32-1

Step Out^t⁵⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: D A Jacob| T: S R B Crawford| OR: 116

11/10

Runner-up 3 times over hurdles before getting it right at Downpatrick in August (21.8f) keeping on well. More needed under a penalty but he's in good hands.

Form: 0-22U21

Jumping Susie^t³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Cobden| T: J C McConnell| OR: 120

6/5

Career best when winning 12-runner handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (18.9f, good) in July, responding well. Matched that form when third under a penalty at Tramore and wasn't far off that level at Bangor, either, with her rider losing his irons early.

Form: 2-1U133

Bilboa River^p¹⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 11-0| J: Edward Austin⁽⁵⁾| T: H McMahon| OR: 71

200/1

Merit established as low-grade maiden handicapper so booked for a struggle.

Form: 72/56U-7

Kopa Kilana^t¹³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽⁵⁾| T: M A Barnes| OR: 91

12/1

Successful sole start in bumpers but remains winless following 19 attempts in this sphere, albeit runner-up 4 times in handicap company this season. Plenty to find back in a novice.

Form: 224227

Blow A Fortune

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: Danny McMenamin| T: I Jardine

40/1

First foal, dam, unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/winning chaser (stayed 25f) who became ungenuine Blow By Blow.

Non-Runners

Bel Amigo¹⁹⁵

Weight: 11-0| Age: 5

Forecasts

Step Out (11/10), Jumping Susie (6/5), Bel Amigo (11/2), Kopa Kilana (12/1), Kilmore Rock (12/1), Blow A Fortune (40/1), Bilboa River (200/1)

BEL AMIGO's French form marks him out as the pick at these weights so it's worth siding that he will be fit enough on return from 6 months off to get the job done here. Irish-raiders Jumping Susie and Step Out are the obvious alternatives.
