Returned to form when runner-up in Huntingdon handicap hurdle (20.7f, soft) in January. However, he has failed to reproduce that in 3 subsequent starts and, though on a workable mark if able to bounce back now returned to fences, he was well held when last seen in this sphere.

Tasted success twice in mares' contests over hurdles during first half of last year. Efforts mixed thereafter but latest sixth of 11 in a Worcester handicap hurdle (23f, good) was creditable and she could be involved if her jumping passes the test now switched to fences.

Four-time chase winner but this 10-y-o hasn't got his head in front for over 2 years and he's essentially opposable, despite slipping to a potentially handy mark.

Fair hurdler who hasn't looked a natural over fences but jumped much better fitted with this headgear and ridden more positively when close second at Fakenham in April. Poor at Plumpton next time, though, and yard saddles a more appealing candidate in Call Off The Dogs.

Understandably took a few runs before finding his form this year following a lengthy absence but right back to form when a back-to-back winner here in May. Couldn't live with Belgarum when bidding for the hat-trick over C&D last time but no disgrace in that given the winner's progressive profile.

Shaped like he was ahead of his mark when runner-up here in February and having been well held at Huntingdon next time, he got back on track when fifth of 11 over this C&D in April. Faller back here on latest start a month later but definite chance if able to get it together jumping-wise.

Dual hurdles winner who stepped up on his low-key chase debut when runner-up in first-time cheekpieces at Cartmel last month. Another creditable effort when over hurdles at Stratford (18.7f, good) recently and he's worth considering back in this sphere.

Chase winner at Wexford for Tony Martin last summer. No show first 3 starts for present connections (all over hurdles) but back on track returned to this sphere when 2½ lengths second to Call Off The Dogs over C&D (good) in May and now meets that rival on 4 lb better terms.

It remains to be seen if ROYAL JUNIPER is able to back up his latest effort when following home Call Off The Dogs over this C&D at the end of May. That said, if he is able to do so he will have a real chance of reversing the placings with that rival on these revised terms. Flamelco's jumping has been an issue but the ability is there if he puts in a clean round, while chase debutante Pure Theatre and Supposedtobe both need a second look, too.
