Brave Jen^p1,t⁶⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Jack Andrews⁽³⁾| T: T Ellis| OR: 103

10/1

A fair hurdler for Nicky Henderson. Respectable start for new yard when fourth of 12 at Market Rasen (18.5f) in June but went backwards from that when seventh at Cartmel 6 weeks later. Has first-time cheekpieces added to her tongue tie.

Form: P3P-F47

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Beau Morgan⁽⁵⁾| T: D J Jeffreys

80/1

Little promise in 2 bumpers for David Pipe last summer. Won a point in April but pulled up in a Market Rasen novice hurdle back under Rules in June, although she did gallop loose beforehand. Hood back on.

Form: 46F1-P

Cherry Cola^p⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: M Goldstein| T: Miss S West| OR: 98

3/1

Bagged 1¾m handicaps on the Flat at Yarmouth and Bath last year. Arrives fit from the Flat (creditable fourth at Bath in first-time cheekpieces last Sunday) but her 0-11 record in this sphere suggests she could prove vulnerable for win purposes again.

Form: 262/07-5

The Dream Goes On¹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Luke Scott⁽⁵⁾| T: Dr R Newland| OR: 95

18/1

Modest form when fourth in maiden hurdles at Worcester (2m/2½m) in recent weeks. The reopposing Dameofthecotswolds was just under 11 lengths ahead of her last time so she has work on to turn the tables.

Form: 987-44

Forecasts

Dameofthecotswolds (4/9), Zarhanya (9/4), Cherry Cola (3/1), Brave Jen (10/1), The Dream Goes On (18/1), Call Her Clever (80/1)

A reproduction of the form DAMEOFTHECOTSWOLDS showed when second at Worcester recently will probably be good enough to see her get off the mark. The chief threat may come from hurdle newcomer Zarhanya, who stayed on late for seventh in a big-field Cheltenham bumper in the spring and this longer trip should suit her now jumping.
