Progressive last season, successful at Redcar in May and signing off with a good fourth in Cambridgeshire. Lightly raced this term but he did shape with more encouragement than the result suggests when eleventh of 17 in handicap at York (10.2f) last month. Visor/tongue tie go on and he's of interest
Improved model last season, winning competitive handicaps at both the Dante/Ebor Festival at York. However, hasn't been in anything like the same form in 3 outings this year, making no impact back from another wind op at York last month. Has it to prove.
Useful performer in France and capitalised on easing mark for this yard at Windsor (1m) in August. Solid efforts from inflated mark at York/Ascot have followed and he's worthy of consideration stepping back up in trip.
Successful twice with cheekpieces re-applied, his latest victory coming at Redcar (10f, soft) in May. Has run no more than respectably from higher marks in trio of starts since and others appeal more for win purposes.
Winless since his juvenile days but hard to knock his consistency, second behind a well-treated rival in handicap at Chester (10.3f) 5 days ago. Visor replaces cheekpieces and he's expected to be thereabouts again.
Back to form when winning at Hamilton (13f) in June. Similar form without looking straightforward of late, hanging left from 2f out when third of 12 in handicap at York (11.8f, good to firm) 27 days ago. Clearly in fine form but his attitude is beginning to look questionable.
C&D winner who confirmed promise of his previous run when winning 6-runner handicap at Chester (10.3f, heavy) 6 days ago, looking well suited by the testing ground. No surprise to see him out quickly under a penalty but this does look tougher.
Ended a long losing sequence at Carlisle in June and in good order since, second of 10 in handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm, 14/1) 24 days ago, staying on without making an impression on a progressive 3-y-o. Probably a place player again.
Landed back-to-back C&D handicaps in May and model of consistency in defeat subsequently, third of 5 in handicap at Thirsk (12f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Return to this shorter trip in his favour and likely he'll run another solid race for all this is a step up in grade.
Progressive juvenile, signing off with facile success at Newmarket (9f, heavy) in November. Resumed with a good second at Doncaster (10.2f) in March and clearly not 100% back at Newmarket a month later. Remains with potential back from 155 days off.
Registered back-to-back victories at this trip prior to going down narrowly at Doncaster (10.2f) in July. Has found his improvement levelling off more recently, never dangerous when thirteenth of 17 in handicap at York (10.2f, soft) 11 days ago. This rates tougher again.

Boasting some strong form to his name as a 3-y-o, OVIEDO shaped with more encouragement than the result suggests when eleventh at York 26 days ago. Equipped with a first-time visor/tongue tie, he could be worth siding with having eased a little more in the weights. Bennetot and recent Chester winner Aviemore are others to consider, as is Have Secret who continues to perform with credit.
