Belatedly opened hurdles account on second run following a wind op here (21.5f, good to soft) in July. Has made the frame both subsequent starts in that sphere and she'll be a threat if her jumping passes the test now switched to fences.

Point winner at the start of the year and made a successful chase/yard debut when returning from a break over this C&D in May. Didn't do much wrong when third off this mark at Worcester last time and he has to enter calculations.

Hurdles winner at Worcester last summer and though yet to strike in this sphere, he has been placed 4 times from 7 starts over fences. Third to a well-handicapped rival from the Skelton yard here (16.3f, good to firm) recently and he's a player back up in trip off 1 lb lower.

Landed a hat-trick in staying handicap hurdles back in 2019 and ran to a similar level when second in handicap chase at Taunton in December 2022. Seen out just 3 times since and while he was by no means disgraced when third over this C&D last time, others make more appeal.

Little impact over hurdles and pulled up on chase debut at Uttoxeter in June. However, this former point winner looked a different proposition when cuising home at Market Rasen (21.4f, good to firm) last month and she has to be considered, for all that this 12 lb higher mark demands more.

Winning pointer who was runner-up in back-to-back mares' handicap chases off similar marks during the spring. Not at her best back from a 3-month break last time, though, and she's 0-14 under Rules.

Showed improved form when scoring over hurdles at Southwell last summer on final start for Stuart Crawford. Now 10 lb below that winning mark but with good reason (more miss than hit since, including on chase debut last time) and hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking a revival here.

Forecasts

Coconut Twist (2/1), Bensini (9/4), Dancingontheedge (11/4), Hey Day Baby (17/2), Testflight (12/1), Firefly Lane (16/1), Layerthorpe (25/1), Sunshine Girl (80/1)

Verdict

It may be worth siding with BENSINI, who was essentially beaten by a couple of better-handicapped rivals here nine days ago and this step back up in trip will be no bad thing. If Dancingontheedge takes to fences at the first attempt she will have a fighting chance off this mark. Coconut Twist and Hey Day Baby also merit respect.
