Fetched £50,000 after finishing third on the second of 2 starts in Irish points but has yet to shine under Rules, most recently finishing out with the washing on his handicap debut at Huntingdon (20.7f, good to soft).

Little impact on the Flat but has the pedigree for jumping and shaped fairly well when third in a Wetherby juvenile last October. Well held both subsequent starts in this sphere but now moves into handicap company off a realistic-looking mark.

Unplaced in pair of bumpers and while she showed ability when fifth of 10 in a mares' maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter in July, that effort is bookmarked by a couple of uninspiring performances. Needs to step up now pitched into a handicap.

No show in 3 qualifying runs for Noel Williams but left that form behind on handicap bow for new connections at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to firm) where she found just one too good in a 10-runner contest. Will be a danger to all if able to build on that here.

Looked exposed for Liz Doyle in Ireland but has done well for new yard on these shores, opening her account at Hexham (2m, good to soft) in June and placed on several occasions. Failed to fire at Cartmel recently but definite chance if able to get back on track here with cheekpieces refitted.

Low-key stuff in a bumper and a trio of novice hurdles to date but this half-brother to 3 winners represents a top yard and may well be seen in an altogether better light now handicapping. Watch the betting.

Fair Flat winner but unproven beyond 8.5f and yet to show much of an aptitude for this game.

Successful over fences at Sedgefield in May but generally below par since and he was pulled up on his latest start in this sphere at Market Rasen last November.

Regressive on the Flat and hasn't shown much in 4 previous starts over hurdles.

On the back of a breathing operation he found only one too good on handicap debut at Market Rasen in May. Didn't get the rub of the green next time and recent fifth of 11 at Stratford (16.3f, good) was a pretty solid effort in the context of this race. Major player.

Poor maiden on Flat and too headstrong in 3 starts in this sphere to date. Big step forward needed now that she steps into handicap company over hurdles.

It's not hard to envisage PILLAR ROCK leaving his novice form well behind now that he ventures down the handicap route off a lowly opening mark. If the market suggests as much, the hint should be taken. Huit Reflets misfired for the first time since joining this yard at Cartmel the other day but it would be no surprise whatsoever were he to bounce back with a bold show. Others to consider include Cofficionado and Cotoneaster.
