Has not inherited the family's lofty level of ability judged on early evidence. Marginal improvement when eighth over C&D last time but probably needs more leeway from the handicapper.

Winner in hurdle here in July. 9/2, good second of 13 in handicap hurdle at this C&D (good) 45 days ago. Progressing well recently. and merits plenty of respect.

Showed plenty of ability in bumpers in 2021 and after a mammoth absence, has shown some ability over hurdles so far this term. Pulled up on handicap debut at Cartmel last time, though. So questions to answer.

Poor form over hurdles for Phil Kirby, including in handicaps this spring. Some encouragement on first outing for this yard over C&D last time and cheekpieces go on now, so not a forlorn hope.

Consistent sort who shaped as if still in form when seventh over C&D last time. Has had a short break since but others look better treated.

Not long with this yard and took advantage of lower hurdles mark at Market Rasen before following up in good style back over fences at Worcester. Excellent effort at Uttoxeter (fences) since and very much still of interest in this sphere.

Point winner but still a maiden under Rules and latest efforts have been underwhelming.

Hasn't shown much yet but he's bred to do much better and represents a top stable, so more expected now upped markedly in trip. Worth siding with if strong in the betting.

Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles. Good fourth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (20.6f, good, 33/1) 101 days ago, finishing strongly. Merits consideration.

Unreliable sort who remains a maiden after 23 goes. Hasn't been seen for over 2 years (when pulled up), so very hard to make a case for.

Forecasts

Absolutely Fine (11/10), Magical Arthur (5/1), Chemical Warfare (11/2), Joker Du Chenet (7/1), Stiletto (10/1), Indian Sunbird (12/1), Valentine Getaway (20/1), Galway Reel (22/1), Shantou Champagne (22/1), Royal Sam (25/1), Shibuya Song (33/1), Kilkeaskin Molly (100/1)

Verdict

ABSOLUTELY FINE is bred to be much better than he's shown to date and takes a significant step up in trip switched to handicaps, so he's worth a chance to improve. Indian Sunbird has been going well at this track and merits respect, while Chemical Warfare can't be ruled out.
