Fair maiden on the Flat for Andrew Balding who, having been gelded, made perfect start over hurdles when winning 8-runner juvenile hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.7f) 4 weeks ago, quickening well to lead close home. Claims under a penalty if conditions don't pose a problem.
Fair maiden on the Flat in France, going close in a claimer in April. The betting should help guide to expectations now hurdle for new connections.
Well held all 5 starts on the Flat but did at least offer a little more than on hurdles debut when fifth in a juvenile event at Ballinrobe (16.7f) 2 weeks ago. Switched yards since and he could yet have more to offer. Booking of Brian Hughes a positive.
Modest maiden handicapper on Flat (stays 1½m) who finished well held both starts for current yard last month. Switch to this discipline needs to have positive effect now.
Fair maiden at up to 1½m on the Flat and showed an aptitude for hurdling when second of 12 in a juvenile hurdle at Market Rasen (16.6f) back in June. In good hands and likely he can build on that following a wind op.
Fair form on second of 2 starts as a 2-y-o but finished well held all 3 starts, including in handicaps/upped in trip for Ralph Beckett so far this year. Market should guide as to expectations now hurdling for new yard.
Masar filly. Dam, half-sister to useful hurdler/fairly useful chase winner (stayed 2¾m) Farringdon. Badly needed experience in maiden sole start on Flat at Kempton (12f) in May. Acquired for just 3,800 gns in June and another best guided by the betting now sent hurdling.

Forecasts
Torrent (11/4), Trafalgar Square (16/5), Judicial Reward (10/3), Aaron (7/2), Malinka (12/1), Path Of Stars (14/1), Rubio De Oro (66/1)
TORRENT faces contrasting conditions to those he faced when making a successful hurdles debut at Uttoxeter 4 weeks ago but that was a promising start and, open to improvement, he shades the vote. Trafalgar Square following his second at Market Rasen rates the chief threat, with French recruit Aaron also worth a look on hurdles debut for his new yard.
