C&L Fairburn Properties Handicap Chase

Off the mark over fences at Kempton last season. Shaped as if amiss next time but all the better for hurdles return when fifth here (21.4f, good to firm) 57 days ago, left poorly placed. Could be ready to strike again.

Didn't need to improve to justify short odds in an 8-runner novice hurdle (4/9) at Market Rasen (23.1f, good to firm) before good third back in a handicap at Stratford. Interesting chase debutant (point winner).

Scored at Kelso in January and back on track last 2 starts, resuming winning ways at Cartmel 4 weeks ago under this rider. Respected.

Initially progressive but has lost his way, pulled up last 3 starts, including on debut for this yard after 8 months off at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago.

Fairly useful winning hurdler in 2021/22 and made a successful debut over fences after 12 weeks off at Stratford (22.6f) in May, jumping well in the main. Drop back in trip not in his favour at Uttoxeter since so not discounted at a more suitable distance.

Point winner who defied a penalty to make it 2 from 2 over hurdles at Hereford in January. Has also made an encouraging start to his chasing career, again shaping well when second at Cartmel last month, picked off late having forced the gallop back down in trip. Worth a go at this distance.
