Golden Circet³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: Danny Power⁽⁷⁾| T: W McCreery

14/1

Ran to a similar level as on debut on return from 13 months off when third of 6 in maiden (25/1) at Killarney (8.1f, good to firm) 30 days ago. Handicaps after this will presumably be the plan.

Form: 6-3

7/1

12/1, shaped encouragingly when third of 14 in maiden at Naas (5.9f, good) on debut 50 days ago, faring best of those held up. Should progress.

Form: 3

(7)

Orange Avenue³⁹²

Well held both starts in turf maidens last summer. Can only be watched on return.

(9)

Ateenosix^h³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: D J Murphy⁽⁷⁾| T: M Halford & T Collins| OR: 64

14/1

Hooded for 1st time, run best excused when ninth of 14 on handicap debut (18/1) at this C&D 34 days ago, left poorly placed. Well worth another chance.

Form: 60-549

(15)

Camachero⁵⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Sorcha Woods⁽⁴⁾| T: E Lynam

10/1

33/1, showed plenty to work on amidst greenness when fourth of 14 in maiden at Naas (5.9f, good) on debut 50 days ago, late headway. Should improve.

Form: 4

(8)

Celtic Druid⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Alyse Clarke⁽⁷⁾| T: T G McCourt

125/1

Fourteenth of 17 in maiden at Leopardstown (9f, good to firm, 200/1) on debut 7 days ago. Down in trip. Probably one for later on.

Form: 0

(12)

Convincing²⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Keithen Kennedy⁽²⁾| T: J J Murphy

9/4

Promising sort. 5/1, fourth of 7 in maiden at Killarney (8.2f, good) on debut 29 days ago, challenging 2f out. Open to improvement.

Form: 4

(1)

Cuban Confusion¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Darragh O'Sullivan⁽⁷⁾| T: D Marnane| OR: 75

9/4

Again ran well when second of 15 in handicap at Galway (7f, good to soft, 10/1) 17 days ago, nearest finish. Has had plenty of chances but this looks a good opportunity to shed the maiden tag.

Form: 329-552

(14)

Seurat²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Neve Bennett⁽⁷⁾| T: W T Farrell

80/1

No impact in 2 turf maidens. Down in trip.

Form: 00

(13)

Themsthejoys¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: Hugh Horgan| T: G Ahern

200/1

150/1, offered little when tailed-off last of 18 in maiden at Galway (12.2f, good to soft) on debut 15 days ago. Significantly down in trip.

Form: 0

(16)

Edella³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: J Cleary⁽²⁾| T: L McAteer

250/1

Tailed off all 5 starts in maidens (all-weather debut latest). Significantly down in trip.

Form: 000-00

(6)

Settlement⁵⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: James Ryan| T: D K Weld| OR: 75| BF

4/1

9/4 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, ran respectably when third of 15 in maiden at Limerick (7f, good) 54 days ago. Makes all-weather debut and will surely have a big say if taking to the surface.

Form: 256-333

(5)

Tropical Shot⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Yudish Geerdharry⁽⁷⁾| T: D Dias

40/1

14/1, given a considerate return 12 months on from a promising debut for Charles Hills when seventh of 8 in maiden at Tipperary (5f, good to firm) 6 days ago, never involved under hands-and-heels riding. Significantly up in trip and this should reveal more.

Form: 2-7

Forecasts

Cuban Confusion (9/4), Convincing (9/4), Settlement (4/1), Musical Pace (7/1), Camachero (10/1), Ateenosix (14/1), Golden Circet (14/1), Supreme Success (33/1), Tropical Shot (40/1), Task Ahead (50/1), Seurat (80/1), Orange Avenue (100/1), Celtic Druid (125/1), Whoyatryingtocod (150/1), Themsthejoys (200/1), Edella (250/1)

A serious case of quantity over quality with SETTLEMENT selected to open her account for Dermot Weld having finished third on all 3 outings this season. Provided she takes to the all-weather, she's fancied to get the better of Cuban Confusion, who was runner-up at Galway recently but has had plenty of chances to shed the maiden tag. Convincing and Musical Pace can fight out third.
