£20,000 5-y-o, Getaway gelding. Dam, 17f-2½m hurdle/chase winner (stayed 4m), closely related to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 25f) Victoria Bay. Off mark in Irish points at third attempt in May and followed up in nice fashion over C&D a month ago. Big player under a penalty.

Out of a bumper winner and showed a bit to work on when fifth at Hereford in November. Not seen since and stablemate Getaway Vic looks more likely.

Mukhadram gelding. Dam 7f/1m winner. Certainly bred to be sharp and patiently ridden, he showed plenty to work on when second over C&D a month ago. That puts him right in the mix.

No Risk At All gelding. Dam, 17f-2¼m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 3¼m) Ajas (by No Risk At All). 2¾ lengths second of 10 to Getaway Vic in bumper at this C&D on debut last month. Shouldn't be much between them on these terms.

Forecasts

Getaway Vic (5/4), All Well And Good (10/3), Loki's Mischief (7/1), Lucky In Taipan (9/1), King Roly (9/1), Theatre Of Flight (12/1), Targa Blue (25/1), Slide Rule (28/1), Uncle Lester (33/1), Secret Vino (66/1), Wozitworththewait (125/1), Trawler (150/1)

Verdict

GETAWAY VIC looked an uncomplicated ride when powering away to make a winning Rules debut here a month, and while a penalty makes life harder, he may well be up to the challenge. Loki's Mischief was 2¾ lengths behind the selection that day and is entitled to finish closer this time, with Targa Blue perhaps the pick of the newcomers.

  1. Getaway Vic5/4

  3. Targa Blue25/1
