Consistent hurdler who posted good second of 7 in handicap chase at Ffos Las (16f, good) on debut over fences 33 days ago. 3 lb higher now but entitled to build on that.

Took advantage of a poor showing by the favourite to gain belated first success over hurdles here in August. Not at same level next 2 starts but returns 1 lb below his last winning mark over fences.

Made a pleasing start over hurdles at Taunton in January but not really built on that and attention switched to chasing now. Others more appealing.

Forecasts

Nibras Gold (11/8), Fat Sam (10/3), Chess Player (9/2), Soldat Forte (7/1), Walkingoneggshells (12/1), Cheltenam De Vaige (18/1), Storm Of Light (50/1)

Verdict

NIBRAS GOLD made an encouraging start over fences at Ffos Las in May and looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark in this sphere. Chess Player and Cheltenam de Vaige look the likeliest dangers.

  1. Nibras Gold11/8
  2. Chess Player9/2
  3. Cheltenam De Vaige18/1
