Showcasing colt who had clearly derived plenty from his debut when second of 7 in maiden at Brighton (6f) 2 weeks ago, edging ahead well inside final 1f and headed post. Sound claims of going one place better with a repeat.

€36,000 Cotai Glory colt. Offered little when ninth of 13 in maiden (5/1) at Thirsk (5f, soft) on debut 59 days ago, struggling halfway. This should reveal more.

Clearly needed the experience but still showed promise when third in a 5f maiden here on debut. Upped in trip, went backwards when fifth of 9 in minor event (3/1) at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) 5 days ago. In good hands and she's likely worth another chance to get back on the up.

Twice-raced colt. 50/1, seventh of 14 in maiden at Kempton (7f) 6 days ago, keeping on gradually without getting on terms. Nurseries look likely to be more his bag moving forward.

Foaled May 10. 18,000 gns yearling, Cable Bay gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including winner up to 7f Silca Mistress and 2-y-o 6f winner Deep Havana. Yard no stranger to success with their juveniles and he's one to note.

Without Parole filly. Eleventh of 13 in maiden (28/1) at Goodwood (6f, good) on debut 18 days ago, missing break and always behind. Probably one for later on when tackling longer trips.

Forecasts

Alashos (11/8), Twilight Ballet (2/1), Silca Bay (15/2), Lexington Jet (9/1), Gilet (14/1), Perfect Parole (18/1), Antiquity (22/1), Bluesy Moon (25/1), Dark Sorceress (40/1), Oncebittentwiceshy (66/1), Mount Of Gold (250/1)

Verdict

ALASHOS took a marked step forward with his debut run under his belt when runner-up in a Brighton maiden (6f) 2 weeks ago and a repeat may well be enough to see him go one place better here. Twilight Ballet is a threat if shrugging off a lesser effort at Newmarket. Newcomer Silca Bay and Lexington Jet are another couple to monitor.
