18/1

Form: 77-8

(3)

Unreal Connection³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Jim Crowley| T: Mrs A J Perrett| OR: 68

13/2

Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at Ascot (10f, good to firm, 11/1) 34 days ago. Down another 2 lb and shouldn't be far away but she nevertheless looks vulnerable for win purposes.

Form: 8148-36

(1)

Papagei²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Hollie Doyle| T: J Ferguson| OR: 67| D

9/2

Winner at Yarmouth in April. Creditable sixth of 13 in handicap off this 3 lb higher mark at Newbury (10f, good, 11/2) 28 days ago. Should make his presence felt.

Form: 760-316

(4)

Secret Beach^t1⁴⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: S D Bowen⁽⁵⁾| T: B Brookhouse| OR: 67

Form: 44-0

(5)

Geliceaux²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: George Downing| T: E Walker| OR: 67| D

9/1

Lightly-raced winner. 9/1, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at Salisbury (9.9f, good) 20 days ago, slowly away. 4 lb rise fair enough and she has to enter calculations.

Form: 59-61

(13)

Breckenridge³⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Rhys Clutterbuck| T: K P De Foy| OR: 67

20/1

Thrice-raced maiden. Second of 7 in maiden (25/1) at Chelmsford City (8f) 36 days ago. Improvement could be forthcoming now upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Form: 4-82

(6)

Fram Castle¹⁶¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-5| J: J F Egan| T: James Horton| OR: 66

7/1

Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 11 in maiden at Southwell (8.1f, 18/1). Off 161 days and it wouldn't be much of a surprise were he to up his game now faced with a stiffer test on this handicap/yard debut.

Form: 05-6

(9)

Myna²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: D C Costello| T: M P Tregoning| OR: 65

10/3

Lightly-raced maiden. 10/1, very good second of 13 in handicap at Newbury (10f, good) 28 days ago. 3 lb rise fair enough and he's high on the shortlist.

Form: 597-2

(7)

Our Papa Smurf³⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-6| J: Joey Haynes| T: G & J Moore| OR: 53| BF

22/1

Tenth of 12 in handicap (11/4) at Bath (10.2f, good) 30 days ago. Kicked by a rival at the start that day, so probably best to overlook that run and was a good second at Brighton on return.

Form: 0056-20

Forecasts

Myna (10/3), Papagei (9/2), Unreal Connection (13/2), Fram Castle (7/1), Geliceaux (9/1), Daymer Bay (10/1), War Director (14/1), Toronto Raptor (14/1), Commander Crouch (18/1), Breckenridge (20/1), Our Papa Smurf (22/1), Blue Collar (25/1), Secret Beach (28/1)

MYNA was just touched off upped to this trip on his reappearance/handicap debut at Newbury and, with the likelihood of better to come, he is taken to go one better here. Geliceaux also improved on her first run over this trip/in handicap company when scoring at Salisbury and she looks a big threat. Papagei is shortlisted, too, while Breckenridge and Fram Castle both bring potential to the table now venturing down the handicap route.
