2/1
Useful hurdler who made the perfect start over fences when scoring with plenty left in the tank at Warwick last month. Couldn't immediately add to his chasing debut success but still shaped perfectly well when third in a handicap at Cartmel (17.3f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Plenty to like.

3/1
Defied a penalty in fine style following his third breathing operation and a 7-month break at Taunton (16.5f, good to soft) in November and made a successful chasing debut at Ludlow (16f, good to firm) last month, outclassing his sole inferior rival. Can win more races over fences.

11/4
Bumper winner who gained a deserved success over hurdles in 12-runner Huntingdon handicap in November. Also made a cosy winning start over fences despite looking in need of the experience in the jumping department at Southwell (15.8f, heavy) recently and is capable of better again.

7/2
Dual winning hurdler. Pulled up on testing winter ground in her first 2 chases but a different proposition back on a sounder surface this spring, winning handicaps at Plumpton and Cheltenham in quick succession in April. Better than result at Bangor 4 weeks ago, so she can bounce back.

Forecasts

Boombawn (2/1), Parc d'Amour (11/4), Matterhorn (3/1), Somespring Special (7/2)

Verdict

A case can be made for all 4 runners, but preference is for BOOMBAWN, who made a winning start over fences at Warwick then shaped perfectly well pitched into a strongly-run race against much more established chasers when third at Cartmel last month. Both Matterhorn and Parc d'Amour made a winning chasing debut last month, and they can chase home Dan Skelton's charge in that order.
