Castle Mews Windows Handicap Chase

Fairly useful hurdler at his best. Back in good order over fences this spring, though spurned a great opening at Chepstow last time, idling markedly and headed close home. Addition of cheekpieces may help his focus.

Losing run stretches back to 2021 but he comes here in good form, keeping the mistakes to a minimum and finding only an improving novice too good at Wincanton (25.1f). Should give another good account.

Only second run for his current yard when getting off the mark over fences at Leicester (22.7f, heavy) in January. Set to finish second when falling here in April and stamina seemed to ebb away late over 25.8f at Newton Abbot latest. Should be involved.

Chase record is a positive one, taking his form up a notch for win number 3 at Hereford last month. Jmped/travelled fluently and 8 lb rise may underestimate him.

Shaped better than the result a few times since gaining sole hurdles win in May 2022. Limited impact both chase starts but this Irish raider is one to monitor in the betting on return.

Lost his way for Gordon Elliott and well held all 3 starts for this yard.

Winning pointer who surpassed his hurdles form at the first attempt over fences when scoring by a neck at Huntingdon in spite of jumping right throughout in first-time headgear. Excellent third over C&D since and he can remain competitive.

Little to shout about for a while outside of points, dropping away on hunter debut at Cheltenham last month.

Back-to-back winner over this C&D 2 years ago but little to shout about since. 4 lb out of the weights.

Established as very limited and he's a long way out of the weights.
