Diamond Boy mare. Half-sister to fair 19f hurdle winner Either Or. Dam unraced. Runner-up sole start in Irish points and joined a top yard but proved too free when failing to meet market expectations over C&D a month ago. Must be capable of better.

Played up beforehand when sixth of 16 in bumper at Ludlow (soft) on her debut, going with little fluency but hinting at ability by the end Again looked rather awkward at Plumpton.

Sister to a bumper winner but set a stiff task and needed experience when down the field at Aintree in April. Eased in class and achieved similar form when third at Haydock 3 weeks ago. That puts her right in the mix.

€36,000 3-y-o, Westerner filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Minella Warrior and fairly useful hurdler Harefield. Made the frame on second start in Irish point and of obvious interest on Rules debut given yard she represents.

Forecasts

Letterston Lily (11/8), Queens Venture (11/4), Pismo Beach (5/1), Shakiyra (7/1), Screened (17/2), Either Way (18/1), Lapointe (20/1), Snapaudaciaheros (22/1), Jakana (28/1), Ironed Out (50/1)

Verdict

LETTERSTON LILY sets a reasonable standard after a couple of bumper runs and is taken to make that experience count. It will be interesting to see what Shakiyra can do this time having been turned over at odds-on for her debut, with Queens Venture respected given the yard she's joined from points.
